How long have you been in business? Studio 67 has been in business for 24 years. It was first located in Lake Orion Michigan, working out of his home and moved to Clarkston- Waterford. Darryl sold his comerical building and now is located in Vassar, Michigan.
What type of equipment do you use? For weddings and location portraits we use a complete professional Digital system, including a variety of regular, zoom and specialty lens. We always bring a complete back-up system as well as a full set of filters and lighting equipment to take care of all lighting/filtering and special effect needs. We use the same Digital system with a different set of studio lighting equipment in our studio. We utilize this for senior and children packages.
What makes Studio 67 Photography different or unique? First, the quality of our service and the look of our images are unique. We look to capture images that have a natural, fresh, fun look while maintaining a timeless classic appeal. All of our work is done with our digital imaging system. Therefore, the print quality from our images is far crispier and cleaner then with a 35 mm negative. Secondly, Darryl Coulman, a certified wedding photographer for more then 20 years, takes your portraits after an in-depth discussion with you regarding your desired results. Lastly, we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. We want to make sure that your photo session will flow, and that you don't feel like you are performing for a camera.
Can we customize a package to suit our needs? Always! All of our packages have room and capability for customization. Our packages are only a guide for you. Talk with us about what you had in mind.
Do you travel? Absolutely! We've done weddings as far away as Canada and the Caribbean. We charge fees for traveling outside a certain area.
How long will it take for you to deliver my proofs? For weddings, Internet and Cd proofs are usually available 4-5 business days after the wedding. We do not offer a print proof book with any of our pictures or packages. Custom Prints and albums can take up to 6 weeks. All other projects have different completion times, but we make every effort to expedite your orders while maintaining our quality.
Are all costs included in your package price? Our quoted fees for weddings usually include all of our expenses. Occasionally there will be additional charges for travel (if outside North Oakland & Genesee Countys), if we are working late or odd hours/days, and if some other unforeseen cost arises. We make every effort to quote all-inclusive prices and do not have to charge more very often, we believe our pricing structure is the most fair and sensible we've seen yet. For our other sessions we have a session fee and a package fee for most. There are a few specials and packages that come with pictures included.
Do you have an assistant? I have an assistant that helps me with my work and also takes a few images. My basic wedding coverage does not include an assistant or additional photographer. If you are having a large wedding we suggest our elite package with a second camera add-on. The second camera and assistant help document a wedding properly, in backing-up important family shots, and in organizing people and equipment. Also, by doing many of the technical, behind the scenes tasks, they allow me to focus all my attention on my clients throughout the wedding. The second camera allows us to capture more photojournalistic images. We suggest the second camera use black and white film to offer a different perspective to your special day.
What do you wear? We wear dark suits and other semi-formal appropriate attire. If there is something special you would like to see us wear, please ask and we will see what we can do.
How much are individual photographs? Current print prices range from 5x7 at $ 12.00 and up depending on what type and size of print. Other options such as retouching, mounting, hand coloring, water coloring, composites, collages, digital manipulation, etc. cost more. Many of our package deals offer substantial savings compared to individualized pricing. Let us know what you are looking for and we will give you a quote. We also provide you with a complete digital proof book on a personalized CD that can be used on any computer. The software to access and run the album is located on the cd and will auto load and run after the cd is inserted into a computer for the first time.
Do you mind if our friends and family takes photos as well? We do not mind if others take photographs along with us at weddings. However, we do request that during certain shots, such as during formal portrait sessions the guests keep their shots to a minimum. Multiple cameras and flashes distract people, causing them to look in different directions. Also, the additional flashes cause misreading by our cameras and may result in incorrect exposure. If guests behave with consideration, courtesy and common sense when using their cameras, there should be no problem at all.
What is needed to retain your services? Assuming you have meet with us and decided we are the studio for you, we must first make sure we are available for your requested time or date. Secondly, we require a retainer of $400.00 to hold wedding dates with 50% payment due and non-refundable 60 days prior to your date. 100% is due the day of your wedding. For other services we require 50% reservation fee as a reminder to keep your appointment. Every session is individualized and we take great efforts to set up the studio for your shot. If you do not show up for a scheduled appointment all of that time is wasted. The remainder of fees for other services will be due on the day the shots are taken. If purchases will be made, that amount is due 100% the date of the order.
